The Biomedical Society will provide an informal platform at which students and academics can get together to discuss a wide range of topics of current interest, without the restrictions of the classroom.

CIMSC
The Chartered Institute of Marketing Student Chapter (CIMSC) is a great society to join if you are interested in marketing. The society gives students the opportunity to have a practical side to their degree as well as offering a great way to network with students and also professional business people. CIMSC has two levels of membership; active members, who have the opportunity to practice marketing, advertising, public relations and event organising skills, while silent members are rewarded with amazing trips at discounted prices. In the past the society has organised successful trips to Meadowhall and Cadburys World.

Contemporary Lens Media
Established by the Contemporary Lens Media course based in the Thomas Parker House Building, the aim of the society is to bring Contemporary Lens to the whole of the University. The society will be planning events such as film nights, social events, exhibitions and trips to photography and film festivals, as well as guest lectures. These events and the society itself are open to all students.

This society is open to all students of the complimentary medicine department. It is also open to anyone who has an interest in complimentary medicine. This society regularly attends workshops and field trips with their last trip to the body works exhibition being a huge success.

Forensic Science
The Forensic Science Society (ULFSS) exists to introduce students to one another, spill the gossip about lecturers, provide top tips for workload and exams and, naturally, have a good time. Fully supported by the Department of Forensic and Biomedical Sciences, the society is dedicated to the students with the added ability to make a difference to the way the course is run. The society hosts a number of fundraisers and runs regular trips, for which ULFSS membership entitles a discount.

History
The aim of the History Society is to promote awareness of places of historical interest, both locally and further afield. The society will be inviting guest speakers to discuss historical issues that relate to the unit coursework as well as other topics of historical interest, and, will also screen feature films or documentaries that will help with the history course units. The society it is not based solely on academia, with the social aspect of the society organising boat trips, ghost walks and days out to London.
