Best Bar None is a national award scheme that promotes responsible management and operation of alcohol-licensed premises. They take into account factors such as alcohol-related crime, awareness of harmful effects of binge drinking, relationship with the community, and generally celebrate venues that are safe and enjoyable to share a drink or two with friends.
This is now the second year in a row that Tower Bar has achieved gold status, with The Swan and Engine Shed adding to the growing roster of achievement.
James Brooks, Lincoln Students’ Union CEO, says:
“We are incredibly proud of our venues for achieving Best Bar None Gold. The student experience is something that sits at the heart of the Union, and this is being recognised on a national scale.”
Kudzai Muzangaza, Lincoln Students' Union President, says:
"To be awarded the Best Bar None Gold truly shows off the hard work that the SU team put in to ensure that students can enjoy their University experience knowing they are in safe venues. I am incredibly proud of everyone that has played a part in helping our Union venues achieve national success.’”
