The Disabled Students Committee is a standing committee and led by a volunteer officer known as the ‘Disabled Students Officer’, who is elected during a campus wide election.
Disabled Students Officer will be supported by an internally elected committee and be responsible for the Disabled Students Committee and the representation of disabled students at the University. The Disabled Students Committee is responsible for the organisation, direction and performance of group in fulfilling its strategy.
The Disabled Students Officer is also a voting member of Student Council, which takes places once a month.
The Disabled Students Committee is responsible to Student Council and Vice President Welfare & Community, Olivia Hill.

Students with and without a disability are welcome to join.
Disabled Students Committee tries to make others aware of all the different kinds of disabilities, whether they are visible, like cerebral palsy or more hidden like endometriosis and dyslexia.
Meetings of the Disabled Students Committee shall take place at least bi-weekly.
