This club practices Shotokan Karate, the most popular style of karate in the world, and is affiliated to the Japan Karate Association. The club has been active for the last few years and has attracted a wide range of members. The club has had a great deal of success in the last couple of years including Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at the National Championships and a number of other competitions. The club also received 3 nominations at the 2010 Sports and Societies for Sports Woman, Team and Coach of the Year, and deservedly won the Sports Woman of the Year award. The club is always looking for new members.
