Students' Union Advice Centre
1). WHO/WHAT ARE WE
As an organisation independent from the University we are able to provide you with free, impartial and confidential advice, support, information and representation where required, on any issue you may face whilst a student at the University of Lincoln.
Dealing with any issue on your own can at times be intimidating and overwhelming, especially if you’re not aware of what help is available and where to find it. At the Advice Centre we can help with issues to do with finance, academic, housing and welfare, and the impact these factors can have on your overall well-being and studies.
Our Manager, Advisors and team of Voluntary Student Advisors are all trained to be able to provide you with advice, support and referrals to other services you require. Our constant priority will be your needs being met.
We can talk in a private setting, and discussions with advisors will always be confidential, in a non-judgemental and open-minded environment. All you need to do is ask for our help and for as long or short-term as needs be we will provide support.
If they cannot directly help you with your issue they will point you in the right direction.
Drop in: Monday - Friday 12pm - 2pm
Phone: 01522 837 000
The University also offers an advice service.
They offer advice across a wide range of subjects from Debt, Accommodation, Employment, and University Issues to Legal Issues, Immigration, Welfare, Benefits and more.
Because the service is confidential, means they will not disclose any information outside the services, unless we have your permission.
Drop-in Assessment Sessions:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 12-1.30pm.
Based in the Student Support Centre, the drop-ins operate on a first-come-first-serve basis, so please come early to avoid disappointment.
