Abbey Access centre is a local community access centre, providing training, volunteer programmes, children's workshops: community newsletter, events and a cafe.
It is located midway on the left down Monks Road - opposite All Saint's Church next to Monks Abbey Primary School
Help teach basic English through ESOL - pre-entry and other levels.
Availability
Classes run on weekdays - 9.30am to 12.30am, and 6.00pm to 9.00pm- at Abbey Access Centre.

Better World Books – Marketing & Project Management
Tasks:
Better World Books is a book recycling programme, where part of the money generated from the sale of the books goes to support literacy schemes in the UK. There are a variety of projects and activities that you could contribute to or lead:
Designing and delivering a marketing programme for the scheme, including:
Designing an advertising campaign to promote the scheme at the University
Organising book collection events
Website and social media development
Conducting market research – identifying suitable book collection points
Face-to-face communications – speaking at meetings, hosting event stands and informal communications
Working with Better World Books to ensure quality control standards are met
Creating a business plan to develop the project further and managing the revenue the scheme generates
Location:
Brayford Pool, Cathedral, Riseholme or Holbeach campuses.
Support and supervision:
All of those involved will receive an induction and training will be offered as appropriate. The University’s Environment Team will provide regular support and supervision throughout.
Personal qualities and requirements:
No previous experiences necessary. All collection materials will be provided by Better World Books. Some lifting of book collection boxes may be required

Initially looking for a team of four or five people to manage the project
