    opportunities

    We are currently looking for volunteers with ideas on running their own student led projects. Some examples of a project might be:

    • Organising a Christmas party
    • Organising a food collection for the homeless
    • Knit hats for premature babies
    • Work on a community garden
    • Coach sports skills to kids
    • Organise a 'Big Tidy Up'
    • Arrange a 'Free Sale' at moving out 
    • Help to run a local community youth group

    LCDP Opportunity

    We are looking for volunteers to be involved with a community based project which will be based within the Sincil Bank area of Lincoln and will involve volunteers setting up a project to benefit the youth of this area, this could be running dance classes, other activities or setting up an internet cafe. This will have the backing of Lincoln Community Development Project and facilities will be provided by the Lincoln Football Stadium.

    Other programmes which are currently running at the club which you can get involved in:

     A youth club Thursday evenings from 6pm to 8pm (would suit students studying criminology, youth, social work or sports development etc)
    -A children and young peoples community club on a Tuesday evening from 5:30-7:30pm (this is lifeskills and educational based so students studying criminology, youth, social work etc)
    -A Football scheme aimed at addressing anti social behaviour and crime, Saturday evenings from 5-6:30pm, (would suit students studying youth work, criminology, social work etc)
    -A monthly community coffee morning aimed at addressing health inequalities, community cohesion, social exclusion etc, normally Monday mornings from 10-12 midday.
    -Holiday term times Family activities which aim to support local families to lead healthier lifestyles, includes arts and craft activities, indoor sport and physical activity sessions, eg wii fit, dodgeball etc,
