Tasks: Age UK Lincoln is recruiting Fundraising and Events Volunteers to help the charity raise its profile and support within the local community.
Helping plan and carry out fundraising events and projects for Age UK Lincoln
Main tasks
• Assisting with the planning, co-ordination and delivery of fundraising events
• Running your own fundraising event
• Attending local fundraising events
• Placing collection tins in pubs, fast food outlets and other public places raising awareness and promoting the services which Age UK Lincoln provides
• Assisting with street fundraising campaigns to promote the charity and generate donations from the public
• Working and liaising as a team member to ensure that all aspects of the services are well represented at events
Location: Lincoln
Support and supervision:
Full training will be provided to all volunteers and will include an induction to include information on the work and services of Age UK Lincoln, information on on-going fundraising events and basic events planning hints and tips.

This role would suit someone studying a degree in Marketing, Business, Media or Health & Social Care, or anyone who is passionate about Age UK Lincoln’s purpose of helping improve the lives of older people.

Recruiting for the 2012 Memory Walk
Memory Walk is the Alzheimer's Society's Flagship Fundraising Event which takes place on one day in September.
The Memory Walk is usually set in a park or scenic location allowing people to walk in memory of someone.
The Memory Walk Event Coordinator, will organize the event with the support of a team of Memory Walk Volunteers and the Community Fundraiser, Hayley Child from the Alzheimer's Society to make the event a success.
Skills/Qualifications
· Good organizational skills
· People skills as you will be managing volunteers who will support you in organizing this event
· Local Knowledge would be a benefit
· Most important skill would be a commitment to put on a successful event.
The Venue for the event will be up to you and you will be supported in this by the Alzheimer's Society Community Fundraise

We are a small group of individuals searching for new members to help us plan, organise and execute a variety of events over the coming months to raise funds for - and the profile of - Oxfam in the city.
This could be anything from coffee mornings and cake sales, to quiz nights and live music; to sit alongside the more traditional cash collections and street fundraising.
You might be liasing with prospective venues, devising a publicity strategy or being interviewed by the media as you "act local, think global" for Oxfam.

Whatever skills and experience you have, whatever age you are, there will be a role in the forum for you. All you really need is enthusiasm and and commitment.

We are looking for sociable volunteers to "act local, think global" as the face of Oxfam in the city.
Fundraising events currently scheduled for this year include attending the highlight of Lincoln's festive calendar, the Christmas Market, as well as collections in the Waterside Shopping Centre and Lincoln High Street planned for early 2011.
