MAKING HISTORY is an innovative celebrity led mentoring project with schools using family and cultural history to empower young people (aged 8 – 18). The project involves genealogical research and multimedia productions. There is great interest from local (and London) schools in taking part in this relevant and timely pilot project.
Making History is the brainchild of Colin McFarlane (local actor) and he is passionate about helping youngsters get a better understanding of their past to help shape their destiny’s in a positive way. Colin has lots of celebrity friends who are willing to assist with the project, so it will not only be beneficial but quite exciting!
Those involved in the development of the project all have pressures on their time through work commitments, hence the thought that a student may well be able to contribute to the project and practically assist in its development.
There is a strong connection to heritage/multimedia (film production/video conferencing/animation/’talking heads’)/project management
