Circuit preparation, stewarding, public safety, programme sales

Support and supervision:
A Sports Maker programme is being co-ordinated by Lincolnshire Sports Partnership. Supervision on the day through the event safety and planning officers.
Personal qualities and requirements:
An interest in sport and the organisation of major events.
Skills the volunteer will learn or develop:
Health and Safety issues that apply to an event of this nature, dealing with the public, communication skills- verbal, time management
Availability:
Sunday May 13th prior to the event start at 10 am through to around 2.30 pm

On the following dates we are looking volunteers who are willing to give up a couple of hours to volunteer at Tesco store and collect much needed funds for Alzheimer’s Society.

Tasks:
• Help set up the start/finish area
• Guide participants to the start line
• Hand participants medals, goody bags and water when they finish
• Keep the flow of participants moving through the finish area
• Clear away the finish area & ensure that the area is clear of rubbish
• This role may involve moving some heavy equipment (although it is not essential for all members of the team to help with heavy lifting)

Support and supervision:
A member of the team will contact you before the event to discuss any queries you have about the event and/or your role, and you will receive briefing notes before the event and a full briefing on the day. All volunteer teams have a designated manager, who will guide and support you in your role on the day and answer any questions.

Title of role: Secret Shopper for IT service desk
Tasks: The secret shopper shall approach the IT service desk (via email/ phone or face to face) with an IT related problem (including network related, web access from home, emails, desktops, laptops, tablets etc). After this is complete the secret shopper would review the service and helpfulness of staff on the IT service desk through completion of a feedback form that you will be given.
The IT department are keen to have a strong student/ staff relationship and ensure they are approachable and efficient to fit student needs.
Location: IT Service Desk, 1st floor Main Building. University of Lincoln
Personal qualities and requirements: It would be ideal to have a range of participants with different queries and students with a range of devices (tablets, laptops, desk tops, macs, smart phones).
The post would require a person to be confident in asking questions to the staff, and to be honest when completing the feedback forms that you will be provided with.
Availability: As soon as possible- Should only take an hour or two maximum.

Tasks: to move groups of adults and children from one activity to another, ensuring that they arrive within time limit so that the day runs to time, to support the groups to ensure that they enjoy the day

Tasks:
Restoring gardens at a community facility as part of the East Midlands regional launch of the 2012 Local Leaders programme.

Support will be provided by Lincolnshire Sports Partnership
Personal qualities and requirements:
All volunteers are welcome, must be willing to take part in general community garden improvement tasks (litter clearing, weeding, etc.)

Working as part of a team, community cohesion, facility improvement
