Health & Safety

While we hope that the year runs smoothly, there's always the chance that an accident or incident will occur, which is why we want to make sure that every activity is prepared for any eventuality.

First aid classes are available for committee members to gain valuable skills in dealing with potential injuries (they also help you look more Work Ready on your CV), and every activity will have their own risk assessment to help reduce the chances of anything dangerous occurring.

Health and Safety cards are available from the SU which give instructions on who to call should an accident happen, as well as the steps to take following this.

Please note that if you or any of your members have any accidents, incidents or near misses as a part of your sport or society, it MUST be reported on an accident form.

You can find the accident form here.

You can find more information about the accident procedure here.

If you need to contact someone out of office hours (9.00am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday) please ring our security team on 01522 886062.
