About KiSS Society
The KiSS Society organises and runs events to fundraise for the charity KiSS.
KiSS stands for 'Kiddies Support Scheme' and is a charity based in Uganda which supports vulnerable children, their families and their local communities. Over the years KiSS has moved from simply funding children’s education and healthcare, to empowering communities in Uganda through community lending groups and agricultural projects to try and make the communities self-sustainable. The charity has grown over the years to focus on really empowering and improving the lives of disadvantaged children and families in Uganda. Although there is technically free schooling for children in most parts of Uganda, classrooms are always overcrowded and children must be wearing uniform which is often far too expensive for families living in absolute poverty. KiSS ensures that children have access to quality education, to empower them to take control of their future.

Committee
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
