About Irish & Northern Irish Society
The Irish Society is back in Lincoln after being inactive for 5 years!
Our aim is to promote Irish culture, politics and lifestyle in a non-politically biased way. We want to become a platform for Irish and Northern Irish students to network and socialise with each other and of course anyone else who is interested in participating!
We have made a few changes such as changing the name to the 'Irish and Northern Irish Society'. This move was to ensure we could become more inclusive to those from the island of Ireland who do not identify as Irish feel welcome as well!
Initially, we will be holding virtual taster events and then further down the line we will hold in-person events according to the latest government guidelines.

Committee
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
