About St John Ambulance Society
Our St John Ambulance Society provides students with life-saving first aid skills so you take action when it matters most.
We need your help to vaccinate the nation!
Through our network of First Aid Societies, St John Ambulance is calling on the enthusiasm of the student population in encouraging you to step forward and volunteer as part of the NHS COVID-19 vaccination programme.
Our volunteers will be part of a team that helps people through the whole vaccination process, from arrival to discharge. This might mean providing support to vaccinators, caring for people before and after they have the injection, or even administering the COVID-19 vaccine, after all the neccesary training.
St John Ambulance is providing full training and asking that volunteers can give at least two eight-hour shifts a month.

First Aid
We deliver weekly sessions throughout the year, training you to give basic life support, treat wounds and respond to various medical emergencies.
Partnered with our student volunteering unit, you can also train and volunteer as an Operational First Aider with St John Ambulance to make a positive impact on campus and in the community. As way of making this training more accessible, we will even cover transport to the St John Ambulance training venue off-campus.
Together we can save lives.

Committee
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
