About Cricket
The University of Lincoln Cricket Club is now bigger and better. We have two competitive men's teams, and a mixed social team, offering opportunities to both men and women. Our First XI team is BUCS funded for outdoor cricket, competing in the midlands 3b league against other universities. Our Second XI is a self funded competitive side, playing fixtures against university sides and local teams. Our Social side will play a number of friendlies throughout the season. Varsity is also another opportunity for matches where we compete in the Humber Games against the University of Hull. With us winning varsity last year, this year we travel to Hull looking to retain the trophy. We play our home matches at the Sports Centre's Sobroan Cricket Ground, situated at the top of the hill, near the barracks, and have a newly built, fully kitted out pavilion. We train twice a week for a total of 3 hours, as one team, no segregation, at the on campus Sports Centre on Tuesdays and Fridays from September until the end of the University year. This year we are looking forward to furthering our partnership with Lindum CC, in order to train outdoor throughout our season. Competitive membership is subject to a trial, which takes place in September. We are always looking for new members, and encourage everyone to join, even if your trial isn't successful, everyone is welcome with our social side. Sign up, contact us on social media and come and see us at the Freshers Fayre at the start of September. If you miss the trial, get in contact, and we can arrange a solution. Social members can join at any time and do not require a trial. If you have any questions please email or drop us a message on social media. We look forward to meeting you!

Committee
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
