The Economics Society's aim is to build a community within the business school and across the university for those who study or have an interest in Economics! We offer both academic and social activities to our members that will help to aid learning of the subject whilst creating friendships with course mates and economic enthusiasts alike. This year we are looking to put on a number of themed nights out, as well as non-drinking social events, debates on current economic issues, a mentoring scheme for younger years and revision sessions as exam season approaches. A further aim of our society is to build a reputation for Economics at the University of Lincoln with the community and potential employers across the UK. The society’s underlying purpose will always be to help members have a well-rounded and pleasant time at university, expand their social circle to encompass the entire economics community of all ages, and to get the most out of their education!
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
