The University of Lincoln Mountaineering Society (ULMS) is a friendly and active society open to anyone over the age of 18. We have an exciting programme catering for all levels that includes rambling & hillwalking, scrambling, climbing (indoor, sport and trad), caving, loads of summer and winter mountaineering, and ice climbing! There are plenty of trips to experience the Peak District, the Yorkshire Dales, Snowdonia, the Lake District, Scotland and at least two international expeditions planned. If you’re looking for adventure, challenge and friendship then look no further. We’ll be climbing the highest mountains in England, Wales and Scotland, and we’ll provide opportunities to learn and practice all the skills you need. Good climbing skills are the backbone of mountaineering, so, we work closely with the climbing society to provide joint trips for both societies. When we’re not up mountains, you’ll find us socialising with film nights, trips out, playzone, barbecues as well as plenty of nights out! Please email or message us on our Facebook (#lincolnmountaineering) if you need any more information. We’d love it if you’d join us.
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
