For your physical activity you need to choose any sport, dance or fitness activity – in short, anything that requires a sustained level of energy and physical activity. For example, playing a sport regularly and showing personal improvement would count. However, learning to be a coach in the same sport would be a Skills section activity, whilst being a volunteer coach counts for the Volunteering section.
Your Students' Union sports clubs cover nearly every possible sport - football, swimming, cheerleading, netball, water polo, mountaineering, just to name a few.
If you want to try a sport before you join, keep an eye out for teams' taster sessions and tryouts held during the first few weeks after Freshers Week. Many of our teams also take part in BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport), with competitions held throughout the year.
Social Sport Sessions
If you prefer something a little less competitive why not have a look at our Social Sport Sessions - Launched in 2017, Social Sport Sessions give you the chance to try out a range of popular sports right here on campus.
Sessions are FREE for University of Lincoln Students' Union Activities members, and University Sports Centre members (and just £2 for non-members).
No experience or equipment is required, just turn up and play!
