This week, contractors working on The Barge discovered a little nest of duck eggs in one of The Barge's window boxes.

Paintwork on this section of the vessel has therefore been delayed at cost to the Students' Union.  While The Barge will still open on time, it may have a slightly shabby chic vibe for a few weeks due to our feathery friends' nesting. It's important to at us at the Students' Union to respect and conserve the environment around us, especially in Lincoln's iconic Brayford Pool.

Although areas of The Barge may not be fully painted for opening on the 13th June, the safety of the soon-to-be ducklings will be protected and we can't wait to see them hatch.
