Throughout 2018/19, your incredible RAG (Raise and Give) campaigns group have raised an amazing £27,181.66 - in just a year!!!
From RAG week and Student-Led Project action to collaborations with activities and the Machu Picchu challenge, so many students and staff members have put their all into making this knock-out total possible.
Here's what just a few of you had to say about the whole experience:
"Being RAG Officer was the most exciting year of my life so far and taught me so much, from how to run events to charity law! I'm really grateful for all the support and would like to thank all the students who donated or fundraised this year!" - Emma Blackburn, 2018/19 RAG Officer
"Fundraising has helped us make such a positive impact on the community and its an amazing feeling to see so many people get together to help others." - Laura Taylor, Alzheimer's Student-Led Projects Lead.
"Through fundraising events on campus we have been able to reach out to more students and get people thinking about various causes and how everyone can do their bit. It's incredible to know that we can all pitch together and make a difference." - Jacob Ford, 2019/20 LGBT+ Officer
We couldn't be more impressed by the incredible drive, determination and altruism we have seen from everyone involved in RAG this year. What's more, your RAG Campaigns group recently won a national award as the Most Improved Student Fundraising Group at the National Student Fundraising Awards (NaSFA). You should all be so proud of your fantastic achievements.
Would you like to take it to the next level, boost your CV and become a RAG Committee member? Then keep your eyes peeled for our October bye-elections.
