The Students’ Union is working hard during these uncertain times to help to make sure that all students, no matter their course or year of study are represented. We want to make sure that you get access to the best representation that you deserve. As a result, it’s important that we hold all of our elected officers to account on what they are doing for students.
All Student Leaders and Volunteer Officers write reports on a monthly basis, which students get to view online. If an Officer fails to provide a report three times over the course of a year, the Students’ Union holds an accountability forum, to hold an Officer to account, and give our membership the chance to ask the Officer questions about what they have been doing.
In line with the Students’ Union bye-laws, we are holding an accountability forum online on the 23rd April, at 2pm, to hold to account the School Rep for Accounting & Finance, as a report has not been submitted three times during this academic year.
The meeting will be chaired by the Union Chair via Microsoft Teams. If you wish to join the meeting, please email [email protected] by 5pm on the 22nd April, and you will be added to the Accountability Forum Teams Group. We need 50 student members in attendance for the meeting to be quorate and go ahead.
How will the meeting work?
- The School Rep will be asked to give an update on what they have been doing to represent students on camera
- All members of the Teams group will be invited to ask questions via the chat bar at the side on the Teams meeting
- The School Rep will be invited to speak and answer each of the questions
- Students will not be required to have cameras or microphones on – we ask that all students mute their microphones to avoid feedback
