This year, the Athletics and Cross Country Team have picked Embrace CVOC as their chosen charity. Embrace CVOC supports children that have been the victim of the most serious crimes.
The team’s Social Sec, Rhys Dickinson, was supported by them after he suffered years of sexual abuse as a child.
The team are conducting a variety of events including running the Lincoln 10k in aid of Embrace, running 36 miles Lincoln to Boston, a charity fundraiser night at Union, f and a fundraising night at bingo as well as many other events.
Rhys has written a blog in aid of sexual abuse and violence week this week, which you can read here. He has also taken part in recording a video Embrace CVOC about his experience and how they helped, which you can watch here.
You can also consider donating to their fundraising page here.
