Throughout the first week of February, your Campaigns Network Community Officer organised a food collection.

With the incredible support of volunteers who not only organised the event but also co-ordinated the collection each day in your SU Reception, 308 donations were received!

That’s 308: breakfast items, tins, instant coffee, sugar, jam, marmalade, long-life milk, biscuits, tins of fruit, and much, much more which were donated.

100% of this food was donated to Lincoln Community Larder, who are a community-based foodbank in the centre of Lincoln. You can find out more information about the Community Larder and how to get involved here.

Alternatively, you can sign up to volunteer at the Community Larder as a one-off opportunity during Make a Difference Week, here.

Thank you to those who supported this event, whether you donated, shared or oversaw the stall.

If you are student who needs support or you know someone that does, with food, financial support, academic support, housing or welfare, please get in touch by emailing [email protected] or phoning 01522 837000.

Lincoln Students' Union building is now closed until further notice.
