The SU Advice Centre Food Bank need your donations!

The SU Advice Centre need your donations now more than ever! As a result of the current situation, this has left many students financially constrained and unable to afford even the basic food items. Consequently, this has led to a shortage of items available within the Food Bank as the growing demand for support increases.

If you're moving out of your accommodation and you're unsure what to do with any food you're leaving behind, you are able to donate any non-perishable items to the SU Advice Centre Food Bank. It is essential the items you donate are non-perishable, these include:

● Tins!

○ Fruit
○ Rice Pudding
○ Tuna
○ Meats (eg stews, meatballs, curries)
○ Hot Dogs 
○ Peas
○ Carrots
○ Sweetcorn
○ Tomatoes.

● Breakfast items!

○ ‘Weetabix’ (or own brand equivalent), or other breakfast cereals
○ Instant Coffee (preferably small jars)
○ Sugar (preferably 250g packs)
○ Jam, Marmalade or Lemon Curd
○ Semi-skimmed UHT milk.

● Instant Mashed Potato
● Pasta sauces
● Biscuits
● Puddings
● Jellies
● Angel Delight!

Any non-perisable items donated are greatly appreciated, especially during this time of worry. To donate, please visit the SU Advice Centre between 9:30 - 4:30, Monday-Friday.

Are you in need of support?

The Food Bank is a service designed to help those in need and individuals who may need assistance.

You do not need proof you require Food Bank support, however you are required to have an appointment with an Advisor to go through your current situation and all the options and help available. To see an advisor, please drop-in 12-2pm or book an appointment outside these hours.
