We’re proud to announce that we, your Students’ Union, have been chosen to host the National Student Fundraising Conference 2020.

Being awarded the opportunity to host the national conference and awards ceremony is a huge achievement and acknowledges the hard work put in throughout this year and the application process. This also highlights and enhances the growing reputation of the Students’ Union as fellow students’ unions have recognised Lincoln SU, the University of Lincoln and the city of Lincoln as the perfect place to hold the conference.

Other unions cast their votes based on the facilities both on campus and within the city, as well as the people involved. Our successful NaSFA Conference 2020 bid video can be viewed below and demonstrates why exactly we have been awarded the honour of hosting.

This would not have been achievable without the outstanding work of all students involved, in particular Emma, our 2018/2019 RAG Officer and SU staff members, Jane and Kayleigh, supporting the Student Leaders and our Campaigns Network student officers, providing the foundation for students to build upon.

Emma Blackburn, our 2018/2019 RAG Officer, had the following to say about the win:

"We’re all very excited about the prospect of hosting the NaSFA conference, and it’s just another brilliant development for charity fundraising at Lincoln and shows how far we’ve come over the past two years! We’ve got loads of great ideas for the conference, and can’t wait to welcome Groups from all across the UK to Lincoln!"

This achievement follows on from the recent success in July at the previous NaSFA in Birmingham, your RAG (Raise and Give) Campaigns group scooped the award for Most Improved Student Fundraising Group and University of Lincoln Hockey Club (ULHC) won the Event of the Year category for their charity match in memory of Grace Millane.

Congratulations to everyone involved, this is thoroughly deserved and we are extremely proud.

We can’t wait for 2020!
