Accessing your SU Services in Tier 3

Following yesterday’s announcement from the Government, Lincolnshire is to be placed into Tier 3 of COVID-19 restrictions from Wednesday 2nd Dec. Below is an update of how this effects the Students’ Union and how students can still access our services at this time:

Towers, The Swan, The Barge, and The Engine Shed will all remain closed. The Line Up and Campus Drop will also be closed from Sunday 29th November onwards. Updates on when the venues will re-open will be made following future changes in guidelines.
Although, we are not able to open our venues for the rest of this term, we are still here to support, represent and provide opportunities for all students.

Advice Centre: The Advice Centre will continue to operate remotely until the 16th December, offering professional, impartial and independent advice on housing, academic, finance and wellbeing issues. As well as offering advice, our advisors are still able to attend virtual meetings with the University, with you.
To contact the Advice Centre, book a telephone appointment here or email [email protected]

After the 16th Dec, please refer to this page for the advice and wellbeing services that are available to you over the Christmas period. The SU Advice Centre will be back working remotely from the 3rd January.

Reception: The Reception desk in the Students’ Union building will remain closed but the phoneline, email and WhatsApp (01522 886006) will continue to be monitored until the 18th Dec for general enquiries. The SU Reception will be back working remotely from the 3rd January.

Cycle Hire: You can still book to hire a bike from the SU, for collection up until the 11th December. You can book a slot here

Drop-Ins: You can still book a virtual drop-in to talk to someone at the SU up until the 11th December. This includes member of the Activities Team, Finance Team and the Campaigns Network. You can book a slot here.

Sports, Societies, Academic Societies and other Student Groups:  All student groups should continue to follow the existing guidance laid out, wherein there are to be no in-person events, meetings or sports taking place. Updates on this will be shared with committees and members, when more government guidelines are released.

Events: There will still be a series of virtual events taking place over the coming month and over the Christmas period. More details on this coming soon on our social media channels.

Housing Accreditation: You can still search for properties which are part of the Lincoln Students’ Union Housing Accreditation Scheme on our website.

We can’t wait to see you all again soon.
