Lincoln Students’ Union to stop selling ‘TOTUM’ Cards, effective Wednesday 13th March 2019.

Following a decision made by the Executive Committee of the University of Lincoln Students' Union (consisting of your cross-campus elected Student Leaders and College Officers), the 'TOTUM' cards will no longer be available for purchase from the Students' Union.

TOTUM cards launched in September 2018, following a re-brand by the National Union of Students (NUS) of their previous 'NUS Extra' cards offering local and national discounts.

Regarding the decision, Kudzai Muzangaza, 2018/19 Students' Union President, says:

"Following complaints to the Executive Committee regarding content that had been published on TOTUM social media channels, the decision has been taken to no longer associate Lincoln SU with the TOTUM brand. The content that had been seen online did not reflect the values we hold here at Lincoln since they reinforced views and stereotypes that were not reflective of the views of the Executive Committee and students at the University of Lincoln."

This change will not affect anyone who has already purchased a Totum card, and cards are still available through the Totum website.
