The Students’ Union is aware of the concerns that have been raised about the potential of new residential properties not being ready in time for the start of semester.
Over the past two weeks, The University has been consulting with the Students’ Union on how they wish to ensure that the student experience of any affected student is protected and adequate compensation is issued to ensure that students have full access to the unique and exceptional student experience here in Lincoln.
The Students’ Union Executive team are happy that the University has taken appropriate action given that these delays are beyond the control of the University and are because of 3rd parties. We support the mitigation they have put in place to ensure that the disruption to our members’ experiences are minimised as well as the proactive approach they have taken to informing our members of the situation in a timely manner.
Any students who are not satisfied with the offer of new accommodation, or the temporary accommodation and subsequent compensation offered, should contact the University residential services team ([email protected]). Our own Students’ Union Advice Centre is also available for our members to receive independent and impartial advice ([email protected]).
