Postgraduate Advice | Housing

Our trained Advisors are here to empower you to have an informed choice and positive experience, as a resident student in Lincoln.

In Lincoln, most student-focussed Letting Agents/Landlords offer tenancy agreements that cover a 42-48 week period, designed to factor in for a yearly changeover of Undergraduate students. As a PG student, your course most likely spans 52 weeks minimum. If you are on a Taught PG programme, you may want to stay in Lincoln to complete your thesis/last part of studies and you may have some difficulties finding short term accommodation lets at the end of a 42-48 week tenancy.

Some Lincoln Letting Agents/Landlords are willing to allow Postgraduate students to reside in non-student properties, for example within a professional house-share or a one bed flat. The benefit of this is that most AST (Assured Shorthold Tenancies) have a contract length of six months, or one year.

The sites below are search sites that we know of where you can look up privately rented properties or shorter term tenancies, within the city of Lincoln. It would be up to you to contact individual Letting Agents/Landlords to find out their stance on letting to PG students.
