Student kitchenette

Student kitchenette

I want to see this idea to have a kitchenette type area implemented because non resident students could use somewhere to store/heat up lunches. The benefit this idea will have on the student body will be to give non resident students somewhere to heat/store home prepared food. There isn't always time to go to the canteen and buying lunches over the weeks gets expensive. The on site a shops don't provide much of an actual healthy option so somewhere to store food would really help.

This has been given as feedback to the university and is something that is to be factored into the next wave of renovations in university buildings. The priority at this moment in time is Art, Architecture and Design building (Nicola de la Haye & Peter de Wint buildings), with David Chiddick and the Stephen Langton building amongst ones hoping to undergo works

I love this idea! Having seen other universities and the food options they provide for their student population makes me wish we had more space to accommodate a more diverse range of eateries!

Adding on to this, I'd like to see a student beverage area put in the library. Just a kettle with access to water (maybe even some tea bags or instant coffee if the uni feels frivilous).
