Free Uni hoodies for international students

I suggest university give out free hoodies for international students when they come to uni, similarly to Home students get hoodies if they put Lincoln as their firm choice.

Vice President International,

Thanks to your SUggestions, all future international applicants to the University will receive their hoody at pre-departure meetings, or directly from University marketing. Deputy Vice Chancellor, Toby Wilkinson, says: “I am pleased to report good news: In future, international students will be able to collect hoodies at pre-departure meetings in their home countries. Those who don’t collect them pre-departure will be able to collect them from CDM when they arrive at the University”.

It will be great if International students also get the free University hoodies just like home students get it. International students and home students have an equal part in the university.

I have been to the Student Centre with some of my classmates and we asked for free hoodies. They told us that international students do not receive them. It is not fair with us as we payed the same fees (or maybe more). Students should be treated equally no matter their nationality. Free hoodie for all !

I can't agree anymore, we are the members of the uni

It's unfair for International students to be denied hoodies just because of their nationality. Considering International students pay an additional fees for studying, they should be definitely be getting free hoodies.

I strongly agree! I believe that it is a bit discriminatory, because we paid the same tuition (or even more), we are part of the university and we should be treated the same way as the UK students.

As a UK student I feel that this is an issue that needs addressing, surely these students should potentially even be favoured by the uni as they've moved internationally specifically for Lincoln. Definitely deserve their free hoodies!!!!

I agree! As a UK student I see no reason why international students shouldn’t receive a free hoodie! They pay the fees and contribute as much as any of us

I agree! Any free gifts/incentives should be the same for everyone.

I agree, I do not feel that a student should not receive a free hoodie just because they are from another country
As a foreign student, I was not aware that students received a free hoodie until I looked into it and was told that as a foreign student I would not receive one.

It is hard to justify why international students who pay higher fees do not get a free hoodie to welcome them, as other students do. If it is a question of postage costs then students can collect them on arrival at Lincoln. It's really sad that this welcoming gesture excludes international students. I think it sets a tone of exclusion which is not what the University of Lincoln is about.
