This is an exciting opportunity for a HR Manager to join a fast growing, dynamic and award-winning organisation. The role will be responsible for providing a comprehensive HR service across the ULSU Group, which nurtures a people centred, value led culture whilst driving performance and standards throughout all companies.

Applicants will need to be experienced and qualified in HR practices and able to foster relations with different stakeholders to support in fostering a high-performance culture underpinned by nurturing and developing talent.

This role is designed to support the development of the Students’ Union sector leading and award-winning CRM system; Students’ Union Management System (SUMS). SUMS support students to have a seamless and personalised student experience with an inbuilt EPOS, elections, advice, and reporting systems.

The primary purpose of the Junior Software Developer is to assist in the development, maintenance and support of the SUMS platform. To ensure comprehensive documentation and quality assurance testing of the platform which is licenced out to various other Students’ Unions across the UK. The role will act as the first level of support for any SUMS related queries, as well as providing introductory training for modules.

Key responsibilities include:
- assist in the implementation of solutions for support issues as required from all stakeholders of the software
- assist in the creation of documentation, including training materials, to support all new platform developments
- ensure new SUMS developments are independently tested and documenting, highlighting enhancements and feedback using GitHub
- maintain a presence as initial support for the SUMS platform to all stakeholders
