The primary purpose of the Junior Software Developer is to assist in the support, documentation and quality assurance testing of the platform which is licensed out to various other Students’ Unions across the UK. The role will act as the first level of support for any SUMS related queries, as well as providing introductory training for modules. The role will also involve performing website related tasks as required by the SU’s communication department.

Key responsibilities include:
- assist in the implementation of solutions for support to ensure all code produced conforms to modern industry standard coding guidelines
- update and review current user guides as and when required, ensuring clear guidance is given to all stakeholders
- develop a wider understanding of the Software Development environment, including code writing, MySQL, and Github
- effectively evaluate, categorise and investigate incoming support tickets, escalating as required
- develop and adopt industry standard best practice for current platform development techniques with one on one support

Graphic Design Assistant

The Graphic Design Assistant will work within the University of Lincoln Students Union Marketing & Communications department. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic, fast paced environment creating, designing and branding events and campaigns for both the student community and public market.

Key responsibilities include:
- working alongside the Digital Graphic Designer and the Digital Communications Co-ordinator to help create publicity campaigns aimed at the student body, promoting various events, campaigns and activities of the Students' Union.
- assist the Digital Graphic Designer with generating ideas for existing and new brands, campaigns and guidelines
- design and produce flyers, brochures, ads, and other marketing materials as directed by the Digital Graphic Designer and Marketing & Communications Manager
- assist in the preparation of artwork in a timely manner as required by the departments and Student Leaders of the Students' Union

The Entertainments Manager will be responsible for the management and delivery of a quality and varied entertainment's and event programme as part of the Students' Union's overall Commercial Services Strategy.

Key responsibilities include:
- be responsible for creating an engaging Entertainment's Programme for members and their guests
- actively seek new and innovative entertainment opportunities which the Students' Union can implement as part of its service, to increase income revenue through both alcoholic and non-alcoholic events which cater for different stakeholders
- actively promote the various Students' Union venues to encourage members and public to hire out the facilities for events
- co-ordinate the Students' Union's student nights held in the venues and work with the Engine Shed Manager to create new income revenues for these events

The Advice Centre Manager will manage the provision of confidential, impartial and non-judgemental advice on a range of academic issues to a diverse student membership. Ensuring the service is widely promoted and is of a high quality, respected by students as independent and professional.

Key responsibilities include:
- coordinate representation and advocacy for students at University hearings; for example in regards to disciplinary hearings, assessment appeal hearings and fitness to practice hearings
- support, manage and train the Advisors and the Assistant Advice Centre Manager in deliver of independent and impartial advice to Students
- provide support and advice to the Student Leaders in the planning and delivery of welfare events and campaigns
- maintain an up-to-date knowledge of higher education advice matters and best practices and to respond accordingly
