Details

The Cleaner will undertake cleaning duties of the Commercial venues and office areas of the Students' Union building, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. This will include polishing, hoovering and undertaking deep cleans of defined areas.

Key Responsibilities include:

- to undertake, as part of the team, the cleaning of designated areas to ensure that they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition
- monitor the cleanliness of all Students' Union buildings, reporting any hazards or recommendations to improve the cleaning provision to the Facilities Co-ordinator
- assist the Facilities Co-ordinator when a Deep Clean of a defined area is requried, including carpet shampooing and full clean down of areas
- undertake porterage duties as and when required

The successful applicant will be required to work shift patterns to meet the needs of the business with 3am-7am start times.

Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant will support the Executive Assistant (EA) to the Students' Union Chief Executive (CEO) in providing a central, cross Union administrative service.

Key Responsibilities include:

- supporting Union meetings as necessary, including minute-taking, organisation and preparation of meeting papers
- create and administer an SU Central Contracts register, ensuring that all end dates are monitored
- support the planning and booking of Away Days in liaison with the Union Administrator
- create agendas and facilitate meetings in liaison with the Executive Assistant, such as external visits hosted by the CEO and the Senior Management Team

Marketing Assistant

The Marketing Assistant will support the Assistant Marketing and Communications Manager in providing an efficient and effective marketing and communications function of the Students' Union, including support in projects and campaigns, copy writing and press releases.

Key Responsibilities include:

- support the Assistant Marketing and Communications Manager to meet all communications requirements where appropriate, ensuring that campaigns and events are promoted and evaluated effectively
- assist the Marketing and Communications Manager when producing media releases and statements as required
- assist the Marketing and Communications Manager in the implementation of market research practices across the Union, coordinating and feeding back results from student focus groups
- to produce written content for a variety of media; publications, campaigns, press releases, website content, when required

Tower Bar Supervisor

Details

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the customer receives the highest quality service, and to oversee the day to day running of the Students’ Union Bars; Tower Bar and Engine Shed, ensuring that the student staff are fulfilling their duties.

Key responsibilities include:

- Customer Service; for example assisting in the smooth running of Tower Bar, from staffing to food service.
- Operational; for example ensuring controls are maintained to maximise profit and minimise wastage and act as a keyholder to the Students' Union premises.
- Financial duties; for example ensuring that all company financial regulations and cash handling procedures are adhered to at all times.
